The team role

Who we are

Islington Environmental Emergency Alliance (IEEA) brings together residents, business owners, subject matter experts, environmental campaigners, religious leaders, organisations and community groups from across Islington. The purpose of the collaboration is to assist in meeting the objectives of the Islington Council Vision 2030: Building a Net Zero Carbon Islington by 2030 ('the Net Zero Carbon strategy') through constructive challenge and input.

What we do

IEEA operates through working groups in line with the workstreams in the Net Zero Carbon strategy. There are notes about them on the working groups page; you can click through from there to find out about the aims and projects of each of them. Their ways of working vary, but they might well meet once or twice per month.

Who can help

We need you! Whether you are fed up with reading that not enough is being done about the environmental emergency and are getting involved for the first time, or have been active in the community for years, we are looking for volunteers. We welcome everyone, whether a resident, a student, a business person, a trade unionist or someone with specialised knowledge or time to spare.

How to help

If you are interested in getting involved in our current projects or in suggesting new ones, or if you just want to find out more, you can return the form on the contact / volunteer page or send an email to us. Alternatively, you can click the button below.
